MUSIC VIDEO: Directorial team LAMAR+NIK have joined with Okie Samantha Crain to make one of those videos that really push what animation can be. Based off of a live action video shot on a white background, then printed and cut frame-by-frame, lined up, and re-shot. The result looks like a stop-motion paper cut, but is actually a live action single-take music video, sped up to match the audio. Wow.

It’s worth visiting LAMAR+NIK‘s site to see what other cool projects they’ve worked on. This Samantha Crain video, though, is by far our favorite.
