MUSIC VIDEO: Crazy Lake Pictures has just released Keith Boynton‘s gorgeous animated accompaniment to Darlingside’s The Ancestor. Considering the invisibility of his subject matter – ancestral spirits – Boynton has created created a nice melding of things recognizable and completely fantastical. This is one of those music videos that actually works with the song it supports, which is always exciting. Our favorite moment: when Darlingside sings “I’ll follow my baby boy” and we get to watch the child (perhaps the old man reincarnated?) grow into a young boy. Gorgeous.
