MUSIC VIDEO: Before Yo Gabba Gabba there was Seksu Roba and Chic-A-Go-Go – Chicago’s punk rock kid’s dance show, below. Kevin Sukho Lee (from Nickelodeon and Yo Gabba Gabba) and Lun*na Menoh made the tunes and Lee directed the videos.

Lee describes Seksu Roba’s aesthetics as “that classic combination of sex and space.” Indeed. Apparently, the live version of Intersexual Overdrive (video above) featured Lun*na’s “disco ball nunchucks routine, and a robot with a large copper pneumatic penis that would launch into the audience at the appropriate climactic time.  You know… typical rock show stuff.” In….deed. Clearly, the lines between Seksu Roba and children’s programming are vague.

…wonder how long it took Lun*na to make that costume….
